Scientists supercharge Patients' own immune cells to fight advanced cancer

NCT ID NCT05902520

Summary

This is a first-in-human study testing a new personalized cell therapy for people with advanced solid tumors that have not responded to standard treatments. Doctors take a patient's own tumor-fighting immune cells from a tumor sample, grow large numbers of the most potent ones in a lab, and then infuse them back into the patient. The study aims to see if this approach is safe and if adding a genetic tweak to these cells makes them even more effective at fighting cancer.
