NCT ID NCT06382675
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study is testing a new blood filter called the Plasma Filter PX2. It is used in a procedure called therapeutic plasma exchange, which removes harmful substances from the blood of people with autoimmune diseases. About 46 adults will take part, and the study will check if the filter works well in everyday hospital practice. The goal is to see if the filter can complete the planned treatment in most cases.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- Plasma Filter PX2 (a device used in therapeutic plasma exchange)
- What this could lead to
- If successful, this could provide a new, effective option for filtering harmful substances from the blood in people with autoimmune diseases.
- What could go wrong
- This is a small, early-stage study with no comparison group, so results may not apply to everyone. The filter might not work as well as expected in all patients.
