Groin tissue tested to rebuild cancer Patients' mouths, reduce scarring

NCT ID NCT05757817

Summary

This study is testing a new surgical method for rebuilding the mouth or throat after removing cancer. Surgeons will take a piece of skin and tissue from the groin area (external pudendal flap) to use in the reconstruction, hoping it causes fewer problems at the site where it's taken from. The main goal is to see if this new approach is safe and practical for patients with head and neck cancer.
