First seen Mar 29, 2026 · Last updated May 03, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study tests a new method of giving antibiotics for moderate-to-severe bacterial meningitis. Instead of only giving antibiotics through a vein, doctors will also inject them into the skull bone to help more medicine reach the brain. The trial will include 86 adults who have not responded well to standard treatment, and will measure how many patients are cured or improved after 7 days.
