Summary

This study tests a new way to perform arm amputations that may allow people to better control advanced prosthetic devices and even feel where their limb is in space. Researchers will perform the new surgery on 10 patients and compare them to 10 others who had standard amputations. The goal is to improve quality of life for people who lose an arm due to injury, birth defects, or arthritis.
