First seen Mar 18, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study will collect images and videos from 10,000 patients who undergo capsule endoscopy (a pill-sized camera that takes pictures of the digestive tract). Researchers will use this data to train artificial intelligence to detect bowel diseases like Crohn's, celiac disease, and tumors more accurately and quickly than standard reading by doctors. The goal is to reduce the time doctors spend reviewing videos while improving diagnostic performance.
