First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study looked at how cardiac arrest affects thinking, memory, emotions, fatigue, and sleep. About 200 survivors were compared to heart attack patients who did not have a cardiac arrest. Researchers used tests and questionnaires at 7 and 24 months after the event to understand long-term brain health and improve future screening.
