New study tests freezing vs heating to stop war wound pain

Summary
This study compares two minimally invasive procedures—cryoablation (freezing) and radiofrequency ablation (heating)—to treat nerve pain caused by combat injuries in Ukraine. Fifty adults with moderate to severe pain from neuromas will be randomly assigned to one treatment. The goal is to see which method better reduces pain, improves daily function, and lowers the need for painkillers.
