Summary
This study aims to develop a new EEG-based technique to detect 'cognitive-motor dissociation'—where a patient is aware but cannot move. Researchers will stimulate the median nerve (in the wrist) and analyze brain signals in 50 comatose ICU patients. The goal is to identify those who may have hidden awareness, potentially improving prognosis and care.
