First seen Feb 19, 2026 · Last updated Jun 11, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding neostigmine to a standard numbing medicine (bupivacaine) in a belly-wall nerve block can improve pain control after cesarean delivery. About 58 women having planned C-sections will receive either the combo or the standard block alone. The goal is to see if the combo delays the need for extra painkillers and reduces overall pain during the first 24 hours after surgery.
