Radiation-Free lung scans for kids? pilot study tests new imaging
NCT ID NCT07247474
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study uses a safe, radiation-free device called electrical impedance tomography (EIT) to take pictures of the lungs in infants, children, and young adults up to age 25. Researchers will compare images from patients with chronic lung or heart conditions to healthy controls to better understand lung structure and function. The goal is to learn more about lung disease without using harmful X-rays or CT scans.
