Liver cancer patients get Pre-Surgery combo: radiation plus immunotherapy shows promise
NCT ID NCT04857684
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether giving a short course of targeted radiation (SBRT) along with two immunotherapy drugs (atezolizumab and bevacizumab) before surgery is safe and effective for people with liver cancer that can be removed. About 20 participants will receive this combination, then undergo surgery. The main goal is to check for serious side effects, while also seeing how well the tumors shrink and how many surgeries are successful.
