First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This phase II trial tests whether combining nemtabrutinib (a targeted drug) with pembrolizumab (an immunotherapy) can shrink tumors in 32 people with Richter transformation, an aggressive lymphoma that arises from chronic lymphocytic leukemia. Participants must have failed or be unable to take standard chemotherapy. The study measures how many patients respond and tracks quality of life.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
nemtabrutinib and pembrolizumab
What this could lead to
If successful, this combination could offer a new treatment option for patients with Richter transformation, a rare and aggressive lymphoma that is hard to treat.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-phase trial (32 people) with no control group. The drugs may cause side effects like fatigue or immune reactions, and the response rate may be modest.
