Can neck strength help balance? new study aims to find out

NCT ID NCT07321119

First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looks at how neck muscle endurance relates to the ability to sense head position in people with cervical radiculopathy (a pinched nerve in the neck causing pain and arm symptoms). Researchers will test 80 adults aged 20-60 using a device to measure neck movement accuracy and a pressure sensor to measure muscle endurance. The goal is to understand how these two functions are connected, which could improve rehabilitation strategies.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

What this could lead to
If successful, this study could point toward better rehabilitation exercises for people with neck pain that radiates to the arm.
What could go wrong
This is an observational study, not a treatment trial. It is small (80 people) and has not started recruiting yet, so results are uncertain.
