Neck injection offers hope for chronic pinched nerve pain

NCT ID NCT07639671

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looked at whether a steroid injection in the neck (called cervical interlaminar epidural steroid injection) can reduce pain and disability in people with a pinched nerve in the neck (cervical radiculopathy). 98 adults with neck and arm pain that did not improve with other treatments received the injection. Their symptoms were measured before the injection, at 3 weeks, and at 3 months using a special scale that tracks both neck and arm symptoms together. The goal was to see if this injection provides meaningful relief for those who have not gotten better with standard care.
