First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether a new drug called NB001 can quickly stop migraine pain and other bothersome symptoms. About 120 adults with migraines will take different doses of NB001 or a placebo at the start of an attack. Researchers will check if pain and symptoms go away within 2 hours.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
NB001
What this could lead to
If successful, NB001 could offer a new fast-acting option to stop migraine pain and bothersome symptoms within 2 hours.
What could go wrong
This is an early Phase 2 trial with only 120 people, so results may not apply to everyone. It is also placebo-controlled, meaning the drug might not work better than a dummy pill.
