First seen Feb 24, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study tested whether spending time in nature can help reduce anxiety and depression symptoms in teenagers. Researchers worked with 60 adolescents who did not have a psychiatric diagnosis and were not receiving therapy. The teens took part in a nature-based program, and their symptoms were measured before, after, and at follow-up. The goal was to see if nature therapy can be a helpful complementary approach for improving teen mental health.
