Light in the nose may stop surgical infections

Summary
This study tests a new way to prevent surgical site infections by using a special light treatment inside the nose before surgery. About 4,740 adults having major surgeries will either get this light treatment or standard care. The goal is to see if the light treatment reduces infections within 30 days after surgery.
