Summary

This study looked at 24 children (ages 6-17) with narcolepsy or hypersomnia to see if changes in their metabolism explain why they often gain weight and become obese. Researchers measured energy use at home and in the hospital using activity trackers. The goal was to understand the cause of weight gain, not to test a treatment.
