NCT ID NCT07185763

First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests whether very short, AI-made videos (under 2 minutes) can help 180 older adults with sarcopenia (muscle loss) follow diet and exercise advice and reduce depression. Participants watch these nano-learning videos at home. The goal is to see if this simple approach improves physical function, nutrition, and mood in a rural setting.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

Nano-learning videos (short, focused lessons under 2 minutes)

What this could lead to

If it works, this could offer a simple, low-cost way to help older adults with sarcopenia stay active, eat better, and feel less depressed.

What could go wrong

This is a small, early feasibility study in one rural area, so results may not apply broadly. The intervention is behavioral, so improvements may be modest or hard to sustain.
