Summary
This study looks at how a specific sugar change (N-glycosylation) on abnormal proteins might cause AL amyloidosis, a rare disease where proteins build up and damage organs. Researchers will analyze blood and bone marrow samples from 100 adults with related conditions to better understand this process. The goal is to improve diagnosis and find new treatment targets, but this study does not test a new therapy directly.
