Foam roller may ease diabetic foot troubles, study says

NCT ID NCT07414914

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether using a foam roller on the feet and calves before exercise can improve foot function, balance, and walking in people with type 2 diabetes. About 40 adults aged 30 to 65 with controlled diabetes will either do exercise alone or exercise plus foam-roller release for 8 weeks. Researchers will measure foot pain, mobility, and the thickness of a foot tissue called the plantar fascia using ultrasound.
