First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jul 07, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study will test whether a culturally-based live music intervention can reduce stress and lower the risk of preterm birth in pregnant Black women. 142 women in their first trimester will be randomly assigned to either music sessions or a verbal support group. Researchers will measure stress levels and pregnancy duration to see if music has a meaningful impact.
