First seen Jan 25, 2026 · Last updated Apr 25, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study looks at whether letting children aged 4 to 6 listen to their favorite music when they first get up after abdominal surgery can lower their pain and fear. Half of the 74 children will hear music, while the other half gets usual care. Researchers will measure pain and fear using special picture scales and check heart and breathing rates. The goal is to find a simple, drug-free way to make recovery easier for young patients.
