Scientists hunt for key to stop rapid muscle wasting in aging and diabetes
NCT ID NCT03118050
Summary
This study aimed to understand why muscle loss speeds up in older adults with type 2 diabetes or after a hospital stay. Researchers studied 95 older adults to examine how the body processes nutrients for muscle building under these conditions. The goal was to identify new biological targets for future treatments to slow down muscle loss and help older adults stay independent.
