Radiation's hidden toll: new study probes muscle loss and fatigue in breast cancer patients
NCT ID NCT02567669
First seen Mar 21, 2026 · Last updated May 04, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study looks at how much muscle loss and fatigue breast cancer patients experience during and after radiation therapy. Researchers want to see if muscle loss happens in areas not directly treated by radiation, and whether it's linked to how tired patients feel. Twenty women with non-metastatic breast cancer will complete fatigue questionnaires and have CT scans at several time points.
