New MRI method could sharpen prostate cancer staging

Summary
This study looks at whether a special type of MRI, called multiparametric MRI, can more accurately determine the stage of prostate cancer in people recently diagnosed. The goal is to help doctors better identify aggressive cancers and plan the right surgery. About 850 participants will have this MRI before their planned prostate removal, and researchers will compare the scan results to the actual cancer found during surgery.
