Scientists track Cancer's genetic shifts during therapy in new study
NCT ID NCT03712566
First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study looks at how certain cancers (head and neck, esophagus, and anal) change at the genetic and immune level when treated with chemotherapy or immunotherapy. About 39 adults with advanced cancer will provide blood and tumor samples before and during treatment. The goal is to understand why some cancers respond to treatment and others don't, not to test a new treatment itself.
