First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 34 times

Summary

This early-stage trial tests whether injecting mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) from a person's own bone marrow into their salivary glands is safe and can improve dry mouth. The study includes 36 adults with dry mouth from conditions like Sjogren's disease or graft-versus-host disease, but not from radiation. Participants will have bone marrow collected, receive an injection into a salivary gland, and complete questionnaires to track changes.
