New brain scan study aims to improve MS diagnosis and monitoring

Summary
This study looks at how the brain uses sugar (glucose) in people with multiple sclerosis (MS) compared to healthy volunteers. Researchers will use a special PET scan to measure brain activity and compare it with MRI scans and blood tests. The goal is to find better ways to diagnose and track MS. About 50 adults aged 18 to 70 will take part.
