NCT ID NCT02050542

First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study compared two ways to detect prostate cancer: using MRI to guide a few targeted biopsies versus the standard method of taking 12 random samples. It involved 108 men aged 45-75 with elevated PSA levels. The goal was to see if the MRI-targeted approach could find cancer just as well as the standard method.
