NCT ID NCT04700488
First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether a new type of MRI called 6D-MRI can predict how well pancreatic cancer patients respond to chemotherapy. Researchers will scan 36 patients before and during treatment to see if the MRI can spot signs of tumor activity and help guide surgery decisions. The study is currently on hold.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
6D-MRI (a special type of MRI scan)
What this could lead to
If successful, this MRI technique could help doctors better predict how pancreatic cancer patients will respond to chemotherapy, guiding more personalized treatment.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage study (36 participants) that is currently suspended. The MRI method is experimental and may not prove reliable enough for routine use.
