New MRI technique could spot eye stroke signs

NCT ID NCT03313817

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tested whether special MRI scans can better detect signs of central retinal artery occlusion (CRAO), also known as an eye stroke. Researchers enrolled 63 adults with CRAO and performed detailed brain and eye imaging. The goal was to find imaging clues that help diagnose the condition, identify its cause, and predict visual recovery one month later.
