This study tested two different MRI sequences to see which one better detects active inflammatory lesions in the brains of people with multiple sclerosis (MS). 180 adults with known central nervous system inflammatory disease who needed an MRI after a recent clinical event took part. The goal was to compare a 3D gradient-echo sequence against a 3D turbo-spin-echo sequence after contrast injection, to find the most sensitive method for spotting active lesions.
