New drug aims to ease foot surgery pain, reduce need for opioids
NCT ID NCT06215820
Summary
This study tested whether an investigational drug called MR-107A-02 works better than a placebo (inactive pill) or standard pain medication for relieving acute pain after bunion removal surgery. It involved 410 patients who had moderate to severe pain after their nerve block wore off. The main goal was to see if the new drug provided stronger pain relief and reduced the need for opioid rescue medication.
