First seen Apr 11, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study tests whether fun challenges (gamification) and personal coaching can help older adults become more active after leaving the hospital. About 350 people aged 50+ with conditions like high blood pressure or heart failure will wear a Fitbit to track steps. The goal is to see if these strategies boost daily walking and reduce long-term mobility problems.
