First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 30, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tests a new device called MOTUS, which replaces a worn-out joint in the lower back with an artificial one. The goal is to see if it works as well as the standard surgery (spinal fusion) for reducing pain and improving function. About 158 adults aged 21-80 with single-level lumbar degeneration are taking part. The study measures pain, disability, and safety over time.
