New program aims to ease depression and trauma in moms experiencing abuse

This study tested a program called MOSAIC Plus for pregnant women and mothers of children under 5 who have experienced intimate partner violence and have symptoms of depression or PTSD. The program pairs women with community advocates who provide support and teach skills to improve mental health and safety. The goal was to see if the program is acceptable and feasible, and whether it reduces depressive and PTSD symptoms and prevents further violence.
