New targeted therapy hopes to shrink Hard-to-Treat ovarian cancers

Summary

This study tests a drug called mirvetuximab soravtansine in Japanese patients with advanced ovarian cancer or other solid tumors that have a specific protein (folate receptor alpha). The drug is designed to deliver chemotherapy directly to cancer cells. The trial has two parts: Phase 1 checks for side effects and the best dose, and Phase 2 measures how well the drug shrinks tumors. About 28 participants will receive the drug every three weeks.
