New drug trial targets painful Crohn's strictures

NCT ID NCT06997965

Summary

This study is testing whether the medication mirikizumab can reduce inflammation and improve symptoms in people with Crohn's disease who have developed painful, narrowed sections of intestine called strictures. About 60 adults in the US and Canada will receive the drug for 24 weeks while doctors monitor changes in their scans, symptoms, and quality of life. The main goal is to see if the treatment can shrink these strictures and make it easier for food to pass through.
