Blood test ratio may predict heart attack recovery, study finds
NCT ID NCT07076732
First seen Mar 14, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study looked at 80 people who had a heart attack but no major blockages in their heart arteries (called MINOCA). Researchers wanted to see if a simple blood test ratio (white blood cell count divided by mean platelet volume) could predict short-term health problems after the heart attack. The study found this ratio was linked to outcomes within a few months, but not to problems while still in the hospital.
