Summary

This study looked at whether drinking a mineral water rich in bicarbonate, sulfate, calcium, and magnesium could help people with a type of fatty liver disease called MASLD. 87 adults with MASLD were split into two groups: one drank the mineral water daily for 12 months plus followed a healthy diet, while the other only followed the diet. Researchers measured gut health, inflammation, and liver fat to see if the water made a difference.
