NCT ID NCT06803641

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether a daily 30-minute mindfulness practice using Tao Calligraphy (tracing lines with fingers) and Tao Song (listening, singing, or chanting) can lower stress, increase social connectedness, and boost peace of mind. Fifty adults will be randomly assigned to either practice daily for three months or join a wait-list control group. Researchers will measure changes using standard questionnaires at the start, three months, and six months.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Mindfulness practice with Tao Art (Calligraphy and Song Love Peace and Harmony)

What this could lead to

If it works, this could offer a simple, low-cost daily practice to help people feel less stressed and more connected and peaceful.

What could go wrong

This is a small early study with only 50 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The practice requires daily commitment, and benefits may be modest or not last long-term.
