Summary
This study tested whether a mindfulness-based text messaging program, called iQuit Mindfully, helps people stop smoking. Over 500 adults who smoked regularly took part. Some received the text program alone, others also got online mindfulness counseling, and all had access to nicotine patches or lozenges. The goal was to see if these tools boost quit rates and understand how mindfulness helps.
