Can walking and mindfulness boost activity in metabolic syndrome? small study tests the idea
NCT ID NCT05242640
First seen Mar 08, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study tested whether a walking program, a mindfulness program, or a combination of both could help people with metabolic syndrome become more active. Thirty-four participants were assigned to one of four groups: walking only, mindfulness only, walking plus mindfulness, or no program. The main goal was to see if the study design was practical and acceptable to participants, not to measure health outcomes. Results will help researchers design larger future studies.
