Scientists test brain chemical to unlock migraine mystery

NCT ID NCT07451769

Summary

This study aims to understand if a natural brain chemical called adrenomedullin can trigger migraine attacks. Researchers will give participants a migraine prevention drug (erenumab) first to block one pathway, then give adrenomedullin to see if it still causes a migraine. The goal is to learn more about how migraines start, not to treat them.
