First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study compares two fast-dissolving migraine pills, rimegepant (Nurtec ODT) and rizatriptan (Maxalt MLT-ODT), in adults coming to the emergency department with a migraine. About 80 participants will receive one of the two drugs, and researchers will measure pain relief at 60 and 120 minutes. The goal is to find out which medication works better and faster for acute migraine attacks.
