Summary
Researchers at Moffitt Cancer Center are studying whether tiny plastic particles, called microplastics, are present in the lungs of people with and without lung cancer. They will collect fluid from the lungs during a standard bronchoscopy procedure and analyze it for microplastics. The goal is to see if there is a relationship between microplastic pollution and lung cancer. This study involves 119 participants and is currently active but not recruiting.
