First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study is testing whether tiny electrodes placed in the arm nerves of people with amputations can record nerve signals and provide a sense of touch and movement. Three participants will have the electrodes implanted for up to 30 days to see if they can control a prosthetic hand more naturally. The goal is to improve how prosthetics work by restoring some feeling.
