Could a common thyroid pill fight brain tumors?

Summary

This study tests if methimazole, a drug used for thyroid conditions, can help people with progressive glioblastoma (a serious brain cancer). Researchers will give different doses to find a safe and effective level. The goal is to see if the drug can slow tumor growth and improve survival. About 19 adults with grade 4 glioma will take part.
